I passed this business many times before I stopped in, and I'm thankful I did! The customer service is second to none and the amount of useful items they pack into that small store is astonishing! They have many fittings and products that even the big box home improvement stores don't carry and they can lead you right to them - wholeheartedly recommended!

Went into the store with my 2 daughters and my mom (ages 5, 8 . & 83). My daughters were looking for parts to fix a homebuilt hovercraft that we have built together. My daughters are well behaved and were looking for items that would help with an improvement to the craft. The owner? came up and totally lost it. My girls were not doing anything that any other shopper would normally do. This guy has MAJOR ISSUES, he should seek help. Even my mother was taken aback by his rude demeaning and small hot dog behavior. Also the overpriced humming bird feeder that I bought here does not work - total piece of crap, like the owner. After spending over $345 dollars here in the last year I will never again shop here. Amazon has more to offer at 68% of the price and you don't haft to deal with the jack-wagon owner.
Outstanding service and selection! The first and best thing they do is greet every customer (when was the last time that happened at one of the big box stores?) They ask if there is anything they can help you find... then take you right to it. The store is loaded with everything and anything you might need: hardware and tools, plumbing and electrical, lawn and garden, camping and housewares, paint, etc. and the prices are competitive. I highly recommend Gentry Hardware in Hot Springs NC.
Absolutely helpful and friendly owners. We filled up our truck in a tiny town that turned out to be less than quality gas and the owner helped us out on a Sunday with a gas additive that cleared up the issue and got us home. We went in asking for a mechanic. Great people!
They have everything. I come to town once a year or so to visit kin and I happened to be out of gun oil and fixing to go for a walk about and doing so planed on taking my carbine. the hardware store just so happened to have some rem-oil on the shelf.
